Aims: The purpose of this study was to develop a self-determination educational package and determine its effectiveness on intrinsic motivation, extrinsic motivation and amotivation of high school students. Method: The research method was semi-experimental with pre-test, post-test with the control group and follow up. At first, self-determination educational package was compiled using library studies, then the rate of content validity ratio (CVR) and content validity index (CVI) was determined by the experts. Using a multistage cluster random sampling method, a 22-members class and a 20-members class of 10th grade empirical science filed were assigned to the experimental group and the control group, respectively, that experimental group had 2 students drop. The experimental group received an educational package in eight 90-minute sessions, and the control group did not receive any education. The findings were analyzed using covariance analysis and repeated measures analysis of variance. Results: The content validity index (CVI) for all goals in the educational package was 0.9 to 1, and the content validity ratio (CVR) for all goals in the educational protocol was 0.8 to 1. The findings indicated that the self-determination educational package affects the intrinsic motivation, extrinsic motivation and amotivation of high school students in Tehran. Moreover, no meaningful difference between post-test and follow-up was detected, which reveals the stability of learning effects. Conclusion: self-determination educational package has the potency to promote intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, reduce amotivation in high school students and improving quality of learning.

IntroductionPeer feedback is one of the promising educational strategy to improve students’ argumentative essay writing. However, resently, researchs have indicated that imlicit approach (Scripts and prompts) in online peer feedback environment improved student’s academic writing skills, these approaches bring some issues. More resently researches for solving this issues propose explicit approaches (sach as instruction and worked example). On the base, this study investigates the effects of online peer feedback environment with argumentation training on students’ learning process (argumentative feedback quality) and outcomes (argumentative essay quality and domain-specific knowledge acquisition) in the field of educational sciences. MethodThe population of the study was all undergraduate students of educational sciences at Kharazmi University in Karaj in which 40 students were randomly selected as a sample and were assigned to either experimental (with training and worked example) or control group (without any additional support) in a pre- and posttest design. They were then divided over 20 dyads and were asked to write an argumentative essay, engage in argumentative peer feedback with their learning partner, and then revise their essay based on feedback they received. In the peer feedback phase, the students of the experimental group received on how to write a high quality argumentative essay before giving feedback. To do so, a collaborative e-learning environment was designed and developed. A coding scheme was developed based on research literature to measure both argumentative essay and argumentative peer feedback quality. ResultThe results favoured students in the experimental condition in terms of their argumentative essay writing, argumentative peer feedback quality, and the acquisition of domain-specific knowledge. Furthermore, there was a positive and significant correlation between the learning process (argumentative peer feedback quality) and the outcome (argumentative essay writing quality).DiscussionThe results of this research indicated the importance of argumentation training as a support for peer feedback process in increasing the students’ feedback quality, academic writing and domain specific learning. Providing argumentation training befor peer feedback activity can familiarize students with criteria for a higher quality feedback, and thus improve the quality of their writing. Also, high quality feedback requires a more cognitive elaboration of learning material which can enhance student learning in subject at hand. The results of this research indicated the importance of argumentation training as a support for peer feedback process in increasing the students’ feedback quality, academic writing and domain specific learning. By classified random sampling, 500 undergraduate students for two college in five group ((2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009)) were selected. By compeleting (CCTST) and analyzing data by SPSS, the results indicated that there were significant differences among five groups of students and senior students gaind better scores than the juniors. In addition differences were found in three subscale of the test (evaluation, Analysis, Inference). However, the results revealed that not only higher education has positive effect on development of critical thinking, but also the scores of all students were lower than standard mean of the test. This research suggests that in spite of the fact that development of critical thinking is related to family and educational background of students before entering the higher education, but revision and improvement in the structure and curricular of higher education, is necessary.

The religious intellectualism, resulting from thereligious confrontation with modernity, has become one of the most contentious, though influential, approaches in the contemporary Islamic world. Thisphenomenon has also given rise to many controversial debates among the scholarssubscribing to different theoretical and ideological orientations. These orientations have provided grounds forthe religious intellectualism in Iran to be labeled as different intellectualwaves such as Islamic revival, Islamization of knowledge with its very recenttrend recognized as an epistemological and philosophical orientation. Therecent religious intellectualism in Iran claims to possess the ability to adaptreligion to modernity and its components such as citizenship. The main purposeof this study, first, was to verify the possibilities and capacity of therecent religious intellectualism so that a program for educating appropriatecitizens could be drawn up. This research was conducted under a qualitativeparadigm using a descriptive-interpretive approach to analyze the data. Theresults of the study reveal that the current intellectualism in Iran, with allof its pre-suppositions and principles which prioritize epistemology overontology has been able to adapt itself, in many cases, to the assumptions ofmodernity and modern citizenship thus making provisions for the realization ofthe modern citizenship training.

This article has been originated from an analytic, theoretical and qualitative research. The aim of this study was analysis and classification of views and approaches toward application of modern technologies in education. There are two main questions: Is technology a cultural-value phenomenon? And second one, which determiner has main role in usage and distribution of technology: user, society, technology? In regard to different philosophical and educational views, there would be different responses. In addition to classifying different responses, this article tried to explain Iranian educational system’s states in regard to these two questions. To what extent does the “Document of Fundamental Reform of Education” emphasize on "intelligent application of technology"? And on what meaning of “technology” is rooted? Analyzing the Document content and exploring the past two decades experiences showed that Iran’s education system, theoretically and practically, has followed instrumentalism approach. At the end, in addition to warning about negative outcomes of using instrumentalism, the article, suggested that “technology” should be seen from different perspectives, and for education system it is better to have a comprehensive approach in study technology.

The aim of this research was to explore the main causes of Khuzestan's high school teachers' reluctance toward prepating and using lesson plans. A researcher-made question-naire consisting of 66 items with a Cronbach validity index of a= 0.97 was completed by 500 high school teachers. Factor analysis of the data reached its optimal item combination and factor structure after 10 experimental rotations. Analysis of the data via using orthogonal (verimax) totation and a minimum factor loading of 0.40 yielded5 factors. These 5 factors with eigenvalues of 19.77, 6.07, 3.55, 3.21 and 2.26 respectively accounted for 53% of the total variance of the questionnaire. These factors in the order of the amount of variancethey expain represent: 1) the cognitive and professional issues of the lesson plan, 2) issues related to management of educational planning and curriculum building; 3) attitudinal issues of the teachers; 4) socio-economic problems of the teachers; and 5) cultural problems of teachers and their low motivation. The number of items under the 5 factors were 19, 12, 14, 6, and 9, repctively Cronbach coefficients and split-half measures were used to check the validity of the extracted factors all of which proved to be significant at (p<0.001). Male teachers, teachers with higher years of service, and teachers with heavier weekly teaching loads had significantly and more emphasis on factors 1, 2, 4, and 5. Whereas, teachers who had never used lesson plans were infuenced by factor 3.

Introduction: Education means the development of all abilities and talents is the most complicated, difficult and effective social process. Serious attention to education is one of the key goals of governments. Effective educational system is a system that is compatible with the real goals and needs of the community and has the ability to prepare the young generation and develop their competencies to achieve the desired goals. These competencies are one of the essential requirements in today’s sophisticated society. One of the factors contributing to the development of students’ competencies is the success in the scientific field and the academic achievement of schools and the most important factor in the school is the leader who organizes the organization for specific goals and organizes the teachers to coordinate a course for their realization.
Method: The aim of the present study is to investigate the role of managers’ professional leadership in students’ competency development by mediating professionalization of teachers, trust and collaboration between teachers in schools in Babol. This study is an applied research in terms of the purpose and is a type of descriptive-correlational researches in terms of data collection method. The statistical population of the study consisted of all the primary school first and second grade teachers and junior and senior high school teachers (3100 people) in Babol in the academic year 1397-98 that 200 people (85 men and 115 women) were selected as sample using stratified random sampling method. All the teachers of the study sample completed managers’ professional leadership, students’ competency development, professionalization of teachers (teacher professionalization), trust and collaboration between teachers' questionnaires. In order to test the reliability of these tools, Cronbach’s alpha was used. After calculating the reliability of the tools, data was analyzed via correlation and path analysis methods and SPSS and LISREL software.
Results: The results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between students’ competency development with managers’ professional leadership, trust and collaboration between teachers and professionalization of teachers. Managers’ professional leadership has a direct and significant impact on professionalization of teachers. Also, managers’ professional leadership has a significant indirect effect on professionalization of teachers through mediation of trust and collaboration between teachers. Professionalization of teachers has a direct and significant influence on students’ competency development. Managers’ professional leadership has a significant indirect effect on students’ competency development through mediation of trust and collaboration between teachers and professionalization of teachers.
Discussion: In a general conclusion, we can say that there are many factors involved in the professionalization of teachers and professionalization of teachers indirectly developed the competency of students. Therefore, in order to increase the students’ competency development, it is necessary to improve the professionalization of teachers as an effective factor in this improvement and the effective factors in it will also be improved. Finally, the results of this study indicate the importance of the role of managers’ professional leadership in the professional development of teachers and consequently, increasing the competence of students.

The purpose of this study was to identify the effective factors in quantitative development of higher education privatization in Iran. To attain the objectives of this research, a twenty four item questionnaire was used. The reliability coefficient of the questionnaire was calculated by "Cronbach's Alpha" and estimated about 0.67. A total of 103 higher education specialists and practitioners of nonprofit higher education institutions responded to the questionnaire. They were selected by means of purposive sampling and random sampling. The Chi-square and Friedman's tests were used to analyze the data. The results indicated that the main effective factors of expansion of higher education in Iran are: increased demands for higher education, inability or lack of willingness of the government to respond to the growing demand for higher education due to absence of funds, demographic changes in higher education applicants, emphasis on higher education privatization in macro development plans and policies, reduced Government’s interventions and the necessity of higher education development and structural reform in this sector.

Thispaper is part of a qualitative study that has surveyed the goal element ofcurriculum in science education of Iran and some other countries ofthe world using both the comparative and descriptive– analytic methods. To meetthe goal of preparing a comprehensive picture, the documents relevant to thisissue in the pioneer and selected countries in science and technology weregathered, described, interpreted, compared and contrasted. The present papertries to survey and study the goal element of curriculum in science educationof Iranand these selected countries. The obtained results of this study can helpcurriculum planners, text-book authors, teachers, and other interested peopleto act with a deeper insight when developing or changing/revising curricula, enabling them to select more appropriate objectives. The obtained results showconsiderable similarities and differences between science education goals of Iran and othercountries studied. These similarities are visible mostly in curricular writtendocuments or intended documents so that the objectives look very similar in allthese countries. All the studied countries focus on four subjects includingphysics, chemistry, biology, and geology. Furthermore, the goals advanced inthese documents address the three dimensions of knowledge, skills andattitudes. The most significant points common among the studied countries arethe promotion of technological scientific literacy, ability of solvingproblems, reflecting, and nature discussions. However, there is a remarkablegap between our country and others which demands serious consideration: thisgap portrays a flaw in curriculum implementation that reflects itself inachieved curriculum objectives by students. The results of TEEMS testsillustrate this issue. However, further research in this area is needed formore appropriate conclusions

Introduction Universities and higher education institutions centers have a certain position that act as the engines of societies, so upgrading and enhancing its efficacy can in turn better and more effective service to the community. It seems that the use of the servant leadership style as a moral and ethical approach can provide the opportunities to achieve these goals. The servant leadership is based on the servitude philosophy which has a optimistic nature focusing on ethical behavior, serving the development of others, and philanthropic philosophy. Thus, the main objective of this study was to design a model of servant leadership that would suit the cultural considerations and requirements of Iranian Islamic society in broader sense and the University of Farhangian particularly. Method In order to discover the very true participants' tastes, experience, attitudes and perceptions, grounded theory (Strauss and Corbin, 2008) was employed. Through targeted sampling regarding the two characteristics of familiarity with the context of Farhangyan university and having long experience in leadership, seven faculty members and eight head masters (totally fifteen) in Farhangian University were selected to be interviewed. Qualitative data was collected through semi-structured interviewing techniques and reviewing written documents (University Statutes, management charters, Managers' Letter Covenants, by university officials' interviews and lectures). Qualitative Analysis Software (Nvivo) was applied for data analysis. Based on Strauss and Carbian systematic approach, in the three stages of Open Coding, Axial Coding, Selective Coding. Validation through triangulation was reviewed by contributors and non-contributing experts. Results Dimensions of paradigm pattern include: Causal conditions (Ethical and psychological characteristics, service motivation and hooliganism, attorney-trust look and feelings of divine duty), core category or phenomenon (Servant Leadership), context conditions (establishment and preparation of facilities, agility, making perspectives, Religious Principles, Islamic System Values), intervening conditions (establishment of core competencies, expertise and experience, strong communication network, managerial instability and Just evaluation of performance), Strategies (institutionalization of servant leadership, optimization and enhancement of the management and development of partnership), consequences (promoting the quality of the leader-follower relationship, The psychological atmosphere based on trust, effective individual and organizational results), upon which, model of service leadership was designed and validated. Discussion The success of organizations depends on the efficient and effective leaders who are capable of grasping chances and fulfill weak points to accommodate needs. Such leaders are winners by adopting a leadership style that is soothing to chaotic conditions of the new world and consistent with the cultural considerations and value of the community as well. Accordingly, university of Farhangian obliged a style of management that best accommodate academic system necessities, furthermore, to be committed to the principles of value and ethics in Islam. As the findings of this study showed that, servant leadership has a broad range of advantages for the organization and that is compatible with the culture and traditions of the Islamic environment, a value-dominent model in line with cultural values of the country was designed and validated that seems promising to direct educational campuses particularly, Farhangian universities.

Research shows that teaching models have positive effects on factors related to learning. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of McCarthy model, the performance of problem-solving and mathematical efficacy of eighth grade female students in Tabriz. Pre-and post tests method was used on 50 female students who were randomly selected and assigned to two groups of 25 students each in the experimental and control group. The experimental group received 8 sessions of 90- minutes’ length in math instruction using Mecarthy method, the control group received instruction in the same math content for an equal amount of time using traditional method to collect data math tests and used math self-efficacy questionnaire were. The results of the analysis of covariance showed that there was a significant difference between the performance of and control groups were significantly different mathematical problem solving math problem sowing between the 2 groups (F= 70/337, P<0/05, η2=0/75). The results also showed a significant difference between the experimental and control on mathematics self-efficacy (F=78/68, scores P<0/05, η2=0/76) the experimental group average performance was significantly higher.

Job engagement has been considered as a source of commitment and professional passion in recent years. Because of the positive effects of this variable on the teachers' proficiency, its predictors have particular importance. Focusing on individual predictors such as types of intelligence, motivation, and needs alone does not provide a complete explanation. On the other hand, attention to social variables such as culture, social atmosphere, employee behavior and environmental factors such as facilities and equipment have an undeniable effect on employees' behavior. Concurrent attention to these factors has been considered in less research. The present study was conducted to investigate the role of emotional intelligence and motivation as mediated variables in causal relationship between school climate and educational facilities with job engagement. In this research, educational facilities as the environmental factor and the school climate as a social factor, and emotional intelligence and achieved motivation as individual factors, have been tested in a causal model. The sample consisted of 300 teachers (130 men and 170 women) who were randomly and census selected from Ramshir city. Participants in this study completed the Halpin and Croft Organizational Climate Questionnaire, Schutt Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire, Hermans, achievement motivation Questionnaire, Utrecht Job Engagement Questionnaire and Job Training Facilities. The proposed model evaluation through path analysis was performed using SPSS software and AMOS. Also in order to examine indirect paths the bootstrap method was used. Results showed that the model was not fit to the data. Better fit was achieved through the elimination of non-significant paths (educational facilities to emotional intelligence, school climate to achievement motivation, educational facilities to achievement motivation and school climate to job engagement). In addition, to the direct paths of educational facilities to job engagement, emotional intelligence to job engagement, achievement motivation to job engagement, school climate to emotional intelligence, emotional intelligence to achievement motivation were significant. Also the indirect paths from school climate to job engagement through emotional intelligence and achievement motivation were significant. These results showed that attention to the role of the school climate as an intermediate variable in increasing the job engagement of teachers and thus improving the educational process is essential. Therefore, teachers 'job motivation and engagement can be enhanced by improving teachers' emotional intelligence, achieved motivation and improving the school climate. In addition, the improvement of educational facilities will help to improve the professional engagement of teachers without any intermediary. This research emphasizes the need for simultaneous attention to individual, environmental and social elements in order to improve teachers' job engagement.

The tool used in the research was a researcher-made entrepreneurship career routing questionnaire. The Face validity of the questionnaire was assessed by educational counseling experts and its reliability was determined using Cronbach's alpha (α = 0.8). The obtained data were analyzed by using covariance analysis. The results of the study showed that the mean of the variable of the career path of the students and the subscales of entrepreneurship knowledge, the attitude toward entrepreneurship as a career path and the choice of entrepreneurship as a career path were more than the control group but there is no meaningful difference between the two experimental and control groups in the mean subscale of routing knowledge (p<0/05). Therefore, it can be concluded that entrepreneurship education is effective on students’ career routing and entrepreneurship can be considered as a career path.
