The goal of this research was the study of validity and reliability of revised short form of studying approaches to measuring the studying approaches of high school students. For this goal a sample was selected by the cluster method that complets the mentioned scale. This sample includes 310 students (155 female students and 155 male students) that 144 persons of them were studying mathematic and 166 persons were studying experiential sience. Internal consistency coefficients of each item measure between 30% and 71% by measuring the correlation of each item with total score of each approach. Conclusions of principle components studying, by varimax rotation show that similar to long’s conclusions, strategic approach with all of it’s items load in one factor and each of deep and surface approach items load in tow factors. So questionnaire (by omiting 2 items) includes 5 factor :strategic ,unrelated memorizing ,understanding the meaning, relationship of concepts, and fear of failure .In addition to the negative relationship between the surface approach and deep and strategic approaches and positive relationship between deep approach and strategic approach is the witness of scal validity .The Cronbach’s alpha and tes-retest reliability coefficients are in the suitable range and show the permanency in measuring the studying approach of high school students .

The main purpose of this investigation was to study the levels of cognitive domain and to analysis psychometric characteristics of test items in final examinations of Arabic, calculus and biology of the third grade high school girls in three different socio-economic areas in Khuzestan, Iran. A total of 3000 answer sheets which were randomly selected from the pools of Arabic, calculus and biology answer sheets, (one 1000 of each), served as three samples of this study. The findings showed that the item characteristics (item difficulty and item discrimination) were reported to be satisfactory. The discrimination indices of most of the items could differentiate between the high and low abilities groups (two criterion groups). The results also indicated that the test scores were highly reliable. The content validity of the test scores showed that the test constructors were able to provide a balance between the objectives and the contents of the lessons base on table of specification. It is therefore recommended that the test constructors read these findings and to be ware of the advantages and limitations of this study in order to be able to improve their abilities in constricting test items in future.

Evaluation in its non-formal sense is not a new thing. Man has almost always used evalulation to gain information about his actions to improve his affairs. Nowadays, evaluation in the form of the qestionnaire, is viewed as a scientific approach which, aided by the use of statistical techniques, has proven useful in practice. Questionnaires comprise different questions, each one providing a part of the required information. As a rule, in designing the questions of a questionnaire, depending on the aim of the research, methods are devised to measure the size of the reliability and validity of the instrument in which equal weight is given to all of the questions, thus attaching equal importance to them. Since some of the questions provide more signifcant pieces of information, it seems that determining an appropriate weight for each question will reflect the results of the questionnaire in a more realistic way. The aim of this study was to provide a suitable method for correct valuation of the items on the questionnaire of the academic members general evaluation. To achieve this aim, first the researcher decided to collect the experts points of view by studying the relevant literature and by using group Analytic-Hierarchy-Process (AHP) and mathemtical modal model of operation research (OR), the new weight for each item of the questionnaire was determined. The result of the application of the new coefficients to the questionnaire, administered to 30 members of academic staff, all randomly selected, showed a significant difference in comparison to the former that of questionnaire.
