Purpose: The current study was conducted to investigate the effect of using electronic portfolios on learning English vocabulary with emphasis on the motivation and attitude of language learners in Ahvaz.Method: The research method used in the present study was quasi-experimental. The statistical population in this study included all 180 language learners studying English at the Iranian Language Institute (ILI), Khuzestan branch, who were learning their foreign language during the year 2020. Using the Morgan table, the sample size of 100 individuals was selected to take part in the study as participants. Then the learners were divided into two groups of 50 members (experimental and control groups) by simple random sampling. In order to tap the motivation variable in this study, the Scientific Motivation Questionnaire (SMQ), the Learner-Student Questionnaire (LLSQ), and the Experience Attitude and Feedback Questionnaire (AEFQ) were utilized. Additionally, to assess the rate of English vocabulary learning by learners, the researcher administered a pre-test and post-test. The reliability of the test was calculated using the KR-21 formula, and its validity was determined by three English experts. First, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used to check the normality of the data of research variables, then using SPSS software and descriptive statistics (including tables, graphs, and means) and inferential statistics (including paired and independent t-tests) were calculated to analyze the gathered data. A qualitative analysis was administered to tap the data retrieved from the questionnaire.Findings: The findings of the present study showed that students who received their educational content through e-portfolios and were evaluated using e-portfolios had performed better in the post-test compared to their pre-test. Accordingly, it can be concluded that the implementation of e-portfolios in the learning environment could have a positive impact on developing the students’ vocabulary knowledge and motivation of average Iranian EFL learners compared to traditional teaching and assessment methods. Conclusion: Finally, based on the research data, it can be concluded that when learning and formative assessment are combined in the educational environment, the evaluation tool becomes a kind of learning tool that helps students to improve their vocabulary knowledge.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of entrepreneurship lesson on students’ career routing. The research method was experimental and pre-test and post-test with control group were used. The statistical population of the study included all second grade high school female students in the city of Nourabad. In order to do this research, one second grade of three second grade of the field of work and knowledge and one second grade of eighteen second grade theoretical fields was selected by using random sampling. The tool used in the research was a researcher-made entrepreneurship career routing questionnaire. The Face validity of the questionnaire was assessed by educational counseling experts and its reliability was determined using Cronbach's alpha (α = 0.8). The obtained data were analyzed by using covariance analysis. The results of the study showed that the mean of the variable of the career path of the students and the subscales of entrepreneurship knowledge, the attitude toward entrepreneurship as a career path and the choice of entrepreneurship as a career path were more than the control group but there is no meaningful difference between the two experimental and control groups in the mean subscale of routing knowledge (p<0/05). Therefore, it can be concluded that entrepreneurship education is effective on students’ career routing and entrepreneurship can be considered as a career path.

This study was an attempt at documenting the unintended consequences and effects of the social climate (hidden curriculum) of Esfahan high shcools on the attitudes and behaviors of the students. To achieve this goal, using economic status as an index, three school districts in Esfahan City corresponding to the three economic categories of low, mid, and high status, were identified. From each district four schools were designated, from each of which 30-35 students were randomly selected to complete a researcher made questionnaire designed to assess the school climate. Based on the data, schools were divided into two categories; one category having open and another closed climate. Qualitative research method was used to study the characteristics of the two types of environments and their effects on the attitude and behavior of the students. Analysis of the qualitative data showed that schools with a closed climate; 1) encouraged submissive behavior on the part of students undermining their capacity for critical thinking, regarding academic subjects; 2) promoted individualistic work at the cost of group cooperation; 3) reduced students’ confidence and self-esteem. It was further discovered that submissiveness and tendency toward individualistic activity were more serious at boys’ schools than girls’. But the decline of self-esteem was more substantial in girls’ schools. Schools with open climate did not suffer from the above problems.

This survey concerns the implementation of ‘Total Quality Management” approach in organizational leadership to be performed by the administrators of libraries in Shiraz University.”TQM” system is a comprehensive focus on meeting and preceding the needs of the patrons. The main objective of this survey was a comparison of library managers’ and specialists’ attitudes toward the state of “TQM” as it currently is and should ideally be in Shiraz University libraries. It considers the differences between these two groups’ attitudes in a framework of Deming principles, and takes account of the differences in attitude of the total sample toward both the present and desirable states considering sex and level of education. The needed data were collected by using Total Quality Management Questionnaire. All the 110 experts and library administrators took part in the survey. However, only 89 persons (67 experts and 22 administrators) returned the forms. The results indicate that administrators have a higher attitude toward the present status of the libraries. There is a significant difference between experts’ and administrators’ attitudes in this respect. Also managers mean score on attitude toward ideal status is higher than that of the experts. Gender gave no rise to any meaningful difference either among the experts or managers. Level of education also created no significant difference across the whole sample. But a significant differnce in attitude toward current and ideal status was found on the bisis of job positions.
