Abstract

the present study investigated the differences between sighted and blind Adolescents regarding their personal and social adjustment. The subjects in this study were 35 blind and 35 sighted male and female Adolescents. Both groups were matched on age, grade levels, and social economic status. California test of personality (CTP) was used as the measure of personality characteristic of both groups. A 2-way analysis of variance did not reveal a significant effect for the group× sex interaction in in 3 personal, social and total adjustment scales. But significant main effects, they're found for personal adjustment (p=0.01), social adjustment (p= 0.0002) and total adjustment (p=0.0006) scales. results also indicated that the differences between the two groups were statistically significant (p= 0.05) regarding eight out of the twelve subscales of CTP.
