Apparently globalization had certain affect in development and reformation of organizations including general education systems, which we can feel this effect in main domains of general education such as teachers, curricula, structures, and school-and-society relations. The main goal of this research is to study the effects of Globalization on the methods of teaching used by teachers in Ahvaz, Iran. The method used for the progress of this research was combined method (document analysis and field survey). thus, for cultivating the necessary data, we have used specially prepared (researcher-designed) questionnaires and also we have used document analysis over the acquired data. The statistical sample we have used here was consisting of 357 person randomly chosen from teachers of elementary school, middle school, and high school levels, and also from the principals of the three levels from whom teach or work in Ahvaz. Before acquisition, the volume of the sample have been estimated by the table proposed by Krejcie and Morgan and with the appropriate size with respect to the size of the corpus the sample have been selected. Analysis of the data, have been done in two levels of descriptive and deductive analysis, by SPSS software. Results shows that there is a meaningful difference between the existing teaching methods used by the teachers in Ahvaz and the ideal methods (i.e., the the methods used in international community, as the result of globalization), and moreover, the difference found in tools and accessories is more sensible.

This paper intends to review and criticize the national curriculum document 3rd edition of the I.R. of Iran relying on Robertson’s glocalization idea. By using conceptual analysis, analytical and descriptive– critical methods, issues are presented in three parts. First, Robertson’s globalization theory is introduced. Then after pointing out the weaknesses and limitations at this theory, Robinson's more comprehensive theory of glocalization is discussed. Finally, relying on the idea of glocalization that addresses both global and local affairs, an ideal model of national curriculum document is developed. On the basis of this model, the national curriculum document 3rd edition of the I.R. of Iran is reviewed. The findings indicate that based on the revised model the document to be expected to provide learning opportunities for learners in accordance with the Islamic and native standards. Thus, the spirit or logic governing the document facilitates return own most roots avoidance of alienation, and revitalization of Islamic value. Moreover, the popular and false notion about globalization and identity could cause this program to orientate toward local and particularism and to deviate from glocal ideal model.

The purpose of this paper is to explore the effects of globalization on management of quality in higher education. A Meta-evaluation methodology is used to see how much the current research-supporting hypothesis is related to divergence, convergence or meso of quality management in higher education. In the light of three debates related to the nature of globalization, consequences of globalization and role of globalization in promotion of democracy and human rights, three controversial hypotheses are studied. It is suggested that forces behind these three hypotheses cannot be assessed in isolation, independently of one another, nor from a perspective of either convergence or divergence among them. Rather, globalization, regionaliz- ation, and nationalism should be captured and studied as forces relative to and overlapping one another, sometimes antagonistic and sometimes cooperative toward each other but never harmonious.

One of the developments of the contemporary period that has had and continues to have tremendous effects in the economic, social and cultural spheres is the issue of globalization. Globalization with its dimensions (social, cultural and economic) has many effects (positive and negative effects) on all areas, including education. Today, one of the symbols of the impact of globalization on education is global learning and changing the paradigm of education. In other words, the impact of globalization on the education system means change in the paradigm of learning and education. This article seeks to answer some basic questions about the impact of globalization on the basic components of education; What is the relationship between globalization and education? What are the changes in the goals of education resulting from the impact of globalization? What changes are there in the curriculum and the content of education and training? What are the challenging aspects of the effects of globalization on the components of education (goals, content, structure)? Of course, in this article, in order to achieve the desired goals, a brief review of the history of the emergence of globalization and its dimensions has also been considered.
