چکیده

این مقاله به توصیف نگرانی از نظر روانشناسی می پردازد و با استفاده از تازه ترین یافته های پژوهشی، نقش نگرانی در بهداشت روانی و عوامل مرتبط با بروز و تشدید آن را مورد بحث و بررسی قرار می‌دهد. در این نوشتار انواع مختلف نگرانی، رابطه نگرانی با اضطراب و فشار روانی، ویژگی های شخصیتی افراد نگران، مقیاس های ساخته شده برای سنجش ابعاد و حیطه های مختلف نگرانی و بالاخره روش های گوناگون مقابله با نگرانی و عوارض منفی آن مورد بحث و بررسی قرار گرفته‌اند.

چکیده [English]

This paper addresses the psychology of worrying, particularly it's role in mental health. Using the latest research findings in this area, a wide range of factors contributing to the inducement, development, maintenance and aggravation of worrying are discussed. In this article, different types and domains of worrying are also reviewed. Furthermore, other topics such as scales developed for the measurement of different expects and domains of worrying, relationship between worrying on the one hand, and anxiety, psychological stress, and adjustment on the other, are  briefly examined in this paprer. The personality characteristics and coping strategies of chronic warriors are also discussed.
