چکیده

صاحب‌نظران مطالعات زیست محیطی معتقدند که بین رفتارهای زیست محیطی، دانش زیست محیطی و تحصیلات رابطه وجود دارد. لذا مقاله‌ی حاضر به بررسی رابطه‌ی میان رفتار زیست محیطی و دانش زیست محیطی از یک طرف و نیز رابطه میان رفتار زیست محیطی و تحصیلات در بین دانش‌آموزان دبیرستان مناطق شمالی ایران از طرف دیگر می‌پردازد. بر این اساس، رابطه‌ی مثبت بین دانش و رفتار زیست محیطی، فرضیه‌ی اساسی تحقیق را شکل داد. روش تحقیق، در این مطالعه روش پیمایشی بوده و با استفاده از نمونه‌گیری تصادفی ساده 751 نفر از دانش‌آموزان مقطع دبیرستان در سه مرکز استان‌های گلستان، گیلان و مازندران انتخاب شدند. نتایج تحقیق نشان داد که افراد مورد بررسی از دانش زیست محیطی پایینی برخوردار بودند، در حالیکه رفتار‌های زیست محیطی نسبتاً بالایی از خود نشان دادند. همچنین، یافته‌های تحقیق نشان داد که رابطه‌ی معنی‌داری بین سطح تحصیلات و دانش زیست محیطی به دست نیامده است. نتایج مذکور این سؤال اساسی را بر می‌انگیزد که چرا در میان دانش‌آموزان ایرانی، سطح تحصیلات تأثیری روی سطح دانش زیست محیطی ندارد. در ادامه‌ی مقاله، دلایل احتمالی بروز این واقعیت مورد بحث قرار گرفته است.

This survey investigated the relationship between the level of education and enviornmnetal knowledge as well the relationship between environmental knowledge and environmentally responsible behavior among high school students in Northern areas of Iran. Environmental scientists believe that there is a relationship between environmental knowledge and environmentally significant behavior, which forms the basic hypothesis of this research. Survey method was used to conduct the research and by applying simple random sampling method, 751 students were chosen from three capial cities of Golestan, Gilan and Mazandran. The survey results showed that the partiupants possessed low level of environmental knowledge, while they exhibited high level of environmentally- appropriate behavior. It also showed that there was no significant relationship between level of education and environmental knowledge, which needs to be explained. The paper continues to explain the probale reasons for this unexpected result.
