Abstract

This study explored the relationship between organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior. The sample consisted of 160 Schools principals in Dizful who were selected via simple random sampling method. Simple and multiple correlations were used to analyze the data. The results indicated that there is significant and positive correlation between effective and normative commitment and organizational citizenship behavior. There is not significant relationship between continuance commitment and organizational citizenship behavior. In addition, the results showed that effective commitment had the most important role in prediction of organizational citizenship behavior and its facets.
