To conduct the study, 304 freshman high school students, 152 boys and 152 girls, from School District #6 of Tehran completed a mathematics self-concept and a math motivation scale. Further, to gather data to determine the level of participants’ math achievement, their math scores of the first semester of the academic year 1382-83/ 2003-2004 were obtained. Participants’ math scores of their previous year were collected to serve as a measure of their prior math performance. The findings derived from the overall path analysis method showed that math self-concept is a stronger predictor of math achievement compared to prior math performance, math learning motivation, and gender. Scrutiny of the direct effects of the variables showed that prior math performance has a very strong effect on math self-concept. This effect is almost equal to that of math self-concept upon math achievement. This draws attention to the reciprocal role of self-concept in teaching mathematics.}, keywords = {math self-concept,math learing motivation,prior math performance,Gender,math achievement}, title_fa = {نقش خودپنداره ریاضی، انگیزش یادگیری ریاضی، عملکرد قبلی ریاضی و جنسیت در پیشرفت ریاضی}, abstract_fa = {در این پژوهش با توجه به ارتباط خودپنداره تحصیلی با پیشرفت تحصیلی طبق دیدگاههای خودپنداره و همچنین طبق رویکرد شناختی- اجتماعی، نقش خودپنداره ریاضی، انگیزش یادگیری، عملکرد قبلی ریاضی و جنسیت بر پیشرفت ریاضی به روش تحلیل مسیر مورد بررسی قرار گرفته است. برای انجام مطالعه تعداد 304 دانش‌آموز (152 دختر و 152 پسر) پایه اول دبیرستان از منطقه 6 تهران، مقیاس خودپنداره و انگیزش یادگیری ریاضی را تکمیل نمودند. همچنین، برای تعیین میزان پیشرفت ریاضی، نمره نیم سال اول سال تحصیلی 83-1382 و برای سنجش عملکرد قبلی ریاضی نمره ریاضی سال تحصیلی 82-1381 این دانش آموزان از مدارس جمع آوری گردید. یافته‌های مربوط به مدل کلی تحلیل مسیر نشان داد که خودپنداره ریاضی در مقایسه با عملکرد قبلی ریاضی، انگیزش یادگیری ریاضی و جنسیت پیش‌بینی کننده قوی‌تری برای پیشرفت ریاضی می‌باشد. بررسی دقیق اثرهای مستقیم متغیرها نشان داد که عملکرد قبلی ریاضی نیز اثر مستقیم بسیار قوی بر خودپنداره ریاضی دارد. این اثر تقریباٌ برابر با میزان اثر خودپنداره ریاضی بر پیشرفت ریاضی است و لزوم توجه به دیدگاه تأثیر دو جانبه خودپنداره تحصیلی را در آموزش ریاضی آشکار می‌سازد.}, keywords_fa = {خودپنداره ریاضی,انگیزش یادگیری ریاضی,عملکرد قبلی ریاضی,جنسیت,پیشرفت ریاضی}, url = {https://education.scu.ac.ir/article_15844.html}, eprint = {https://education.scu.ac.ir/article_15844_6c0322dcb77055c276bd88d7274b7258.pdf} }
